I know it’s October but better late than never right? I had cancelled my Birchbox subscription but then something about this box called to me! So, I had to resubscribe and order this box.
The one thing I like about Birchbox is the element of choice. So even though I ordered my box at the very end of September, I could still choose the design.
September’s box was a collaboration with department store Oliver Bonas, which if I’m honest, I knew very little about. There is one store in the next city but I’ve never been in. However, next time I’m on my travels I may have to venture in.
Dr. PawpaW Original Clear Balm
I’ve wanted to try this for such a long time and this was the main reason that I ordered this box. I wasn’t disappointed. This balm can be used on lips, skin and hair. I’ve mostly used it as a lip balm and it leaves my lips super smooth and primed for lipstick.
Manna kadar fantasy 3-in-1 blush, highlighter, eyeshadow
I’d never heard of this brand and was interested to try this as I love multitasking products. This is a great product to pop into your makeup bag and I used it mainly as a highlighter because the champagne-pink shade gave a nice subtle glow. I did have to layer this to make it visible on my skin tone so this might be better suited to fairer skin tones.
Polaar icymagic instant eye contour Energiser
I just wasn’t sold on this. It felt nice and cooling when I rolled it onto my under-eye area but there wasn’t a discernible difference. Maybe my eyes are just beyond help!
ROuge Bunny rouge bronzing glow liquid
Another product that I just wasn’t convinced by. I followed the instructions. I mixed this with my moisturiser to get a subtle glow and nothing. No change at all, not even in my super pale legs. It did however smell nice!!
R+ Co high dive moisture & SHine cream
I never use the hair products in subscription boxes as I follow the curly girl method religiously but this did smell nice!
Did you receive this box? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.
