I have to say, I’m really enjoying my subscription to the Look Fantastic box. It really is the best of the subscription boxes that I’ve tried so far. It’s packaged beautifully (and is the perfect shade of pink to match my newly decorated bedroom. Perfection!) and comes with a free glossy magazine. What more could I want?
As usual, this box did not disappoint. This month’s theme was indulgence. Who doesn’t want a bit of that? I’ve had a challenging couple of weeks filled with poorly kids, poorly me and a lot to do, so that bit of indulgence was gratefully received!
So what’s in the box?
ModelCo Instant Radiance Concealer
I did like that fact that this was an exclusive product and is only currently available in the Look Fantastic October box. Unfortunately it was far too light for me so I couldn’t use it.
Bean Body Coffee Bean And Coconut Body Scrub
I love a good coffee scrub, even more so now I am not allowed to drink coffee. *sobs* The scent of this scrub definitely woke me up. As the name suggest, this contained coconut oil which made my skin super soft. My only issue with this was the mess! It took me ages to clean the shower out afterwards so this isn’t really a ‘morning before work scrub’. Save it for pamper days.
Monu Skin Firming Fuji Facial Oil
The essential oils (Bois de Rose and Pactchouli) in this oil helped it to smell like a spa day. I loved it. It was gorgeous, relaxing to use and really helped to moisturise my skin. I use it at night to really let it sink into my skin. To be honest, I didn’t really notice a firming effect but it smelt so good that I’ll let that slide.
Skimono Hand Mask
Best. Ever. Idea. This was so bizarre at first when I first put on the plastic gloves, but was a genius idea to help me relax. I couldn’t do anything as my hands were unable to be used for 30 minutes so I had to watch a film and do nothing whilst my hands were being intensively moisturised. They were so soft afterwards and the results lasted for days. Definitely worth repurchasing.
Lancer The Method: Polish
Well, according to the information sent by Look Fantastic, Victoria Beckham is a huge fan of this product and as I am a huge fan of her, I was really excited to try it. If I’m honest, I haven’t really noticed a difference to my skin since starting using this but it is early days.
Ciaté Wonderwand Mascara
One of the good things about this product is that it is paraben free and vegan. Although it claims to be both volumising and lengthening, I didn’t notice any difference to my lashes. (Which are short and stubby so pretty much any mascara makes them look better.) This wasn’t the most amazing mascara that I’ve ever tried but neither was it horrendous.
